Black Ridge Farm is a family farm in north-western Tasmania. Don & Keryn Thomson, and their four young children, produce top quality, traditional-tasting meats from rare-breed pigs and traditional breeds of sheep and goats, run free-range and under very high animal welfare and environmental standards.

We only sell what we produce on our farm. We believe in short supply-chains so that our customers get to know us, our farm and our meats.  We like to think that you are not ‘consumers’ of our produce but co-producers!  We are in this journey together, so please join us.


We are currently out of stock of all meat. We will have lamb and pork available in the spring.
